The Bourbon Club of Arkansas
Arkansas’s premier whiskey community — built around exceptional barrels, unforgettable experiences and the people who make both worth sharing.
From private barrel selections and national recognition to member gatherings and a permanent home in downtown Little Rock, BCA exists to make great whiskey more meaningful — together.
OUR STORY
Great Whiskey Is Better Shared
The Bourbon Club of Arkansas began with a simple idea: bring together people who care about what is in the glass and who they are sharing it with.
What started as a community of enthusiasts grew into a club known for carefully selected private barrels, collaborative whiskey projects, tastings, events and a willingness to judge the liquid on its own merits.
Today, Mash & Vine Market gives BCA a permanent physical home in downtown Little Rock, while Black Sheep Bistro and the Volstead Vault expand that vision into food, hospitality and an even deeper whiskey experience.

BCA in 2026
The club has moved from building a reputation to earning recognition — while creating a permanent place for Arkansas whiskey enthusiasts to gather.

FOUNDER & CURATOR
Gary Penna
Gary Penna founded the Bourbon Club of Arkansas with a long-term vision: build a whiskey community defined by quality, access and relationships rather than hype.
He leads BCA’s barrel-selection work and co-curates the Volstead Vault whiskey library with Abe Wyly. That same standard carries through the club’s private selections, collaborations and the experiences built around them.

What BCA Stands For
Four principles. Every barrel. Every event. Every pour.
01
Excellence
We choose for quality, not hype. Every selection has to earn its place.
02
Consistency
The standard should not change from one pick, release or event to the next.
03
Affordability
Exceptional whiskey and memorable experiences should still respect the member’s wallet.
04
Community
The bottle may start the conversation, but the people around it are what make the club matter.
